During their month-long residency, Patty Mitchell and Robert Lockheed engaged community leaders, art centers, and teen artists on a collaborative artwork. This work included artistic contributions from across the Twin Cities, culminating in a co-created Northern Spark installation, Palace of Wonder. A colorful tapestry of quilts, paintings, and sculpted balloon figures served as the center point for performances by a variety of eclectic artists, including large-scale puppets, synchronized knitters, and dancers.
