Hey, sailor! As you can see, I’m the loveliest courtesan in Nagasaki’s pleasure quarters. My favorite customers are Chinese and Dutch seamen, who ply Japan’s only international port. I’m one of the few locals allowed to visit their “foreign” quarters. Lucky me!
