Paul Graham, “Photography is Easy, Photography is Difficult”
Here is the short essay by Paul Graham that I promised to post. Thanks to Paul for the permission. (Please note the context to MFA students at Yale.) Would be interesting to hear your thoughts.

Thanks for posting this, David, I’m sure it will become a chestnut among assigned readings for photography students. (My students read it before Paul’s talk.) What he describes are photography’s greatest challenges and greatest joys- the lack of control and certainty, rewarded by accidents and discovered insights that cannot by gotten to through other media.
