An exhibition of contemporary works by nine Minnesota artists, House, Garden - The Spirit of Place featured paintings by Hazel Belvo, Rosalyn Schwartz, and Rochelle Woldorsky, photographs by Karen Berg-Johnson, Linda Gammell and Ann Ginsberg Hofkin, drawings by Joyce Lyon, a painted construction by Sandra Menefee Taylor and a painted entrance by Georgiana Kettler. Gardens, woods night trees and houses were among the images presented. This exhibition revealed the essence of interior and exterior places, whether they be real or imagined, present or timeless. Branching Out, a multimedia installation by five Minnesota artists, featured two-and-three-dimensional works by Valerie Frank, Angie Klidzejs, Marjorie Masel, Linda Rother and Jill Waterhouse. Through the unifying theme of trees, this exhibition explored innumerable human concerns in a spiritual and satirical fashion.
