The next Annual Meeting must be coming up soon. I encourage your staff to use extensive use of email (I dont recall ever getting notified that way), and postings - on mnartists.org, MN State Arts Board website opportunites page, and the Regional Arts Boards sites, for example - sent well in advance, with timely reminders the week of. There are a wealth of specific organizations that need to be notified directly (besides a mailing, which doesnt always reach the membership) - Juxtaposition Arts, NEMAA, St Paul Art Collective are several obvious ones, plus many of the cooperative and alternative galleries, city and regional art centers and small museums throughout the state - AZ Gallery, Homewood Studios, Artrujillo Gallery, SOO, CIA, MCP - Rochester Art Center, Bemidji Art Center, Lanesboro Art Council, Rourke Art Gallery, Plains Art Museum, A Center for the Arts in Fergus Falls - to name only a few. Of course most of the artist studio buildings have newsletters or email lists which will include the MAEP meeting notice - Northrop King building, Thorpe building, Northern Warehouse, Appliance Parts, and many more. College and university art departments maintain email lists of faculty and alumni also. And why not put an events listing in City Pages and other events publications a month or so in advance?
